It’s vital that you receive your fresh or frozen food shipment the day after we send it out in order to ensure that your food arrives in good shape. Please follow the tips below to make it easier for your delivery driver to find your location and make a timely delivery:
1. If you are not always home during the day, please consider having your perishable foods delivered to your work address or other commercial address where someone will be responsible for receiving your order, whenever possible. If someone else is to receive the order, please include their name in the shipping address. Please be aware if you have a dog in your yard of any kind that appears to be unrestrained (electric fence, etc.), the delivery person may refuse to leave your shipment at your door. In that situation we cannot be responsible for loss or damage of your food.
2. Please be sure that the telephone number you provide is where you can be reached during the day. You can also type in additional phone numbers, such as a cell phone or work number, in the extra lines provided for an address. We’ll see these when your order comes in to our office.
3. If you are sending perishable foods to someone else, either as a gift or because you will be visiting them:
a) Please include their daytime phone number or cell phone number in one
of the address lines of the recipient’s address.
b) Please let them know a perishable shipment is on its way to them so they
will be looking out for it and store it properly when it arrives. We cannot
be responsible for a shipment delivered to the right address but incorrectly
handled by the recipient after that.
4. Please keep track of the day you have requested your delivery to be made. If you have not received your shipment by 3:30pm that day, please call us -- 800-695-2241 (or 931-964-2209 after 6pm Central) – and let us know. We’ll start tracking your shipment for you.
5. Please inspect the contents of your package as soon as it arrives. We must hear from you within 7 days of delivery in order to process a claim for damage and/or loss. If there is visible damage to the outside of the package, please keep all packaging in case the delivery company wants to inspect it.
